Yard Sale: Tournesol Audax

This is the bike we did for an editor at Outside Magazine, maybe the May issue 2010. He liked it, gave us a small write-up and awarded Editor's Choice, but passed on buying the bike.

The frame is lugged and built by Martin Tweedy using Rene Singer lugs, Columbus Zona tubes, Pacenti crown; paint is by Russ at Air Art. Paint is in good condition with a couple of small scratches or scuffs. I'd guess it has about 500 miles on it.

Seat tube, c-c - 57cm
Top tube - 55.5cm
Head tube - 176mm

We have it built with Honjo fenders, 28mm tires, custom front rack, King 2-Nut HS, Paul racer brakes (polished). Parts include SRAM Force silver shifters and derailers, Centaur compact cranks (170mm), Noodle bars, Nitto cages, Dura Ace/Nitto (!) stem, Ultegra seat post, B-17 saddle, Ultegra hubs on Open Pro rims. No pedals.

This bike would be perfect for sport riding, randonnees, light touring, or commuting. I'm 5' 9" and it fits me perfectly.

Pricing:

Whole bike, as is - $3500 OBO ($5000-ish new)
Frame/fork/HS/rack/fenders/brakes - $2500 OBO
Shipping to CONUS - $200 (whole bike)
