Not you, silly - the company. It's 2022, we've been doing this for 23 (!) years, and the bike menu needs some pruning. So let's bid goodby to the MAX and Maglia ROSA pages and (coughcough) adjust our pricing a tad. The website needs a little housecleaning so bear with me and you'll be hearing more about steel forks this year.
MAX is out because we can (and do) use those tubes throughout the line; Il Barone, Il Mostro, and Strada Bianca now all have an option to use some or all of the MAX tubes we offer.
Maglia ROSA was initially intended as a way to sell bikes designed and built by others, that hasn't happened, and I still have the decals if you really want one.
So what is left, I hear you asking? Well:
Il Barone continues to fly the flag for our go-fast (or not) skinny-tire rim-brake bikes. We offer carbon, steel, or titanium and steel comes in three flavors: Small Tubes (Levico), Large Tubes (Superissimo), and Just Right (Il Barone).
Il Mostro is what we're calling our disc brake frames and those come in carbon, steel, or titanium. We have two versions: Tranquillo, which takes up to a 32mm tire; and Sterrato, which takes up to a 38 or 42mm tire. Tubing options abound for those who like such things.
Strada Bianca is offered in steel and titanium, uses medium-reach rim brakes (including Paul Racer M), is generally built with a steel fork, and will take up to a 38mm tire.
Team Pro is our venerable lugged frame offered in two tubing diameters - regular OS and Uber OS - choice of steel or carbon fork, and choice of short or medium-reach brakes.
Beyond the above we're tamping down our desires to build rando bikes or frames for other than caliper, disc, or Paul Racer M brakes and we're letting those who love tires bigger than 42mm build for that size.
